Georgia glanced back at the house.  With the kitchen light on, she could see Eric standing by the sink, looking out the window.  She had a long list of fantasies that started and ended with Eric.  She was dying to strip him out of his business suits and run her hands over the muscles built from years of working alongside his crews.  She wanted to taste him, exploring every inch of his body, and witness the expression on his piercing blue eyes when he lost himself in pleasure.

But did she have the guts to approach him?  To go to his room, his bed?  To push him to act on the desire written all over his face?

She wiggled her toes in the cold grass.  She was alive.  She could do anything.  She had to cling to that, remind herself over and over.  Otherwise it would feel as if her world had slipped away because she’d been too weak to hold on.

Preface Twelve days until freedom. Well, not exactly complete freedom, but more than I currently have living in the same home and city as my father, the all powerful scary mob boss of Chicago, Toni Gallo. Don't get me wrong, I love my father and understand his reasons for being overprotective when it comes to my safety and well being, but understanding it does not make it easier to handle. Between losing my mother to cancer when she was only thirty-four and being the principessa to one of the top mafia crime bosses in the Chicago area, my pops is scared to death of losing me to both natural and un-natural causes. There are not many things that scare my dad. He is used to taking what he wants and controlling all those around him as if he is playing a game of chess, but I am the last family he has left, and the apple of his eye. He has always been overprotective and cautious when it comes to my welfare. It has been hard growing up surrounded by security detail and having my every move tracked, but I understand his fears. I swear if he could lock me in my room for the rest of my days he would do it. In all reality he is less strict then most father's in his position of power. I met another principessa named Gloria at an Italian gathering my father made me attend around two years ago. The poor girl seemed lost and so unhappy, not that her family gave a shit. I pressed myself up against Cole, my face an inch from his.  My heart was thumping wildly, my blood was buzzing with fury. 
“I am sick of your bullshit, Cole.  You better walk the line tonight or you’ll be sorry.  Do I make myself clear?  I didn’t come all this way to be humiliated by you.  If you want me here, then fucking act like it,” I hissed. 

Cole’s eyes snapped and sizzled, his chest heaving up and down.  He was flushed and just as furious as I was.

Then he grabbed the back of my head, his fingers curling into my hair and smashed his mouth down on mine.

The kiss was bruising and forceful.  This wasn’t about romance.  This was about domination.  I bit down on his bottom lip and could taste his blood. 

He pulled away, his lips swollen and bleeding.  “I’m happy you’re here.  Is that what you want me to say?  Is that what you want to hear?”  He grabbed my upper arms and pushed me back against the wall, his pelvis thrusting against mine.

“Does that make you happy?” he demanded.

I couldn’t take my eyes away from him.  He was gorgeous.  And he made me feel completely and totally alive.  I craved this manic insanity that I only seemed to experience when I was with him.

Why couldn’t I be content with nice and normal?  Why did I crawl over broken glass for this madness?

Why did I allow Cole to degrade me and humiliate me over and over again?  Why did I scream at him and make a scene just so I could get this reaction from him?

What the hell was wrong with me?

I was so turned on I could barely stand.  I wanted him to take me then and there.  I didn’t give a crap about the people openly gawking at us. I thrived on it.

I wanted the hard press of his body against mine. I wanted the chaos.

“Good,” he said, leaning in and kissing me tenderly on the nose.  His thumbs caressed the side of my face.  A remarkably gentle act from such a volatile man.
